You will be fishing aboard Strike Zone: a 29-foot Pro-line Super Sport powered by twin 250 hp supercharged Mercury Verado four-stroke outboards and equipped with state-of-the art Simrad electronics that work in conjunction with C-Map bathometric cartography and Airmar ultrasonic transducers and sensors to provide Captain Quinlan a serious edge in locating trophy fish.
As you can see, Strike Zone is powered to run at high speeds if necessary to outrun a rapidly approaching storm front, and its electronics have given Captain “Quin” the edge he needed to win Shark Hunters: East vs. West and to pick the spot that held an 1175-pound mako shark, the largest fish ever caught on rod and reel in California waters.
Since he began practicing catch and release for trophy sharks, Captain Quin and his guests have caught and released dozens of makos over 300 pounds and numerous makos over 700 pounds on Strike Zone. This boat has a solid track record for not only finding, but catching, trophy sharks.
