Our leadership, experienced fishing and yachting team is the best of the best. Our team is made up of proven leaders in the executive business space, seasoned fishing professionals, top sport fisherman and some of the leading sponsors and luxury amenity providers in the world.
A Team of Elite Professionals
Trophy Sport Fishing combines Luxury & Fishing. We put together a team that could deliver the a luxury experience for each guest aboard the yacht. Our goal is to make sure the clients get the full experience of what we have to offer.
The team is led by Captain and Owner, Richard Mayer, a top class trip coordinator and master of the South Florida waters. His passion for fishing led him to put together a team of fisherman who could execute the perfect experience for those aboard Trophy. Having fished his whole life he wanted to combine the joys of fishing and experience aboard a luxury yacht to give our guests the best possible experience. Our goal is to provide affordable top of the line services not offered by competing charters. Supporting team members include a 2 high class captains with over 50+ years of combined fishing experience and a team of first class fishing mates. We provide high quality equipment and fishing tackle so our guests don't have to worry about a thing. Our team lives the Trophy Experience and it shows. Our professionalism, attention to detail, mindset, knowledge and driving goal to provide a luxury Sport Fishing and/or Charter experience is what sets us apart from the rest.

What an awesome crew! You could tell the captain and his first mate Sergio really really cared about whether or not we caught our target species. It was a bit of a slow day for the Mahi and Tuna we were hoping for, but they put in the hours and the miles and made em happen! We landed mahi, mutton snapper, a huge kingfish, and more! The highlight was definitely the sailfish making an appearance and putting on quite an above-water show.
10/10 an incredible trip and worth every penny. The boat was beautiful and comfortable and the crew made even the slack lines fun!

This was our 1st time fishing in deep ocean. Didn’t know what to expect. The Crew was great!!! No experience needed for fishing. Mike was good at teaching all of us. Captain John was behind the wheel doing his good job because our ride was a little bumpy due to recent storm. We had a fabulous time. Teenage boys had a lot of fun, learning about fishing. Recommending this trip to all who want to enjoy the trip and have experienced crew. Definitely will come back!!!

It was a great day on the water with Captain John and Sergio. Very friendly team that makes you feel instantly comfortable. We were immediately on a fish and it turned out to be a 40+ pound wahoo. Great way to start an afternoon of fishing! After that we had near continuous action with mahi-mahi, blue runners and bonito. Can’t wait until the next trip…😊

Was a great time the kids had a blast, as did I. Will definitely do it again when we’re in the area again , Corey was awesome, was a really cool cat,he was great wit the kids and was very knowledgeable and helpful and was always willing to explain things to u, really can’t say how much he made the trip a great time thanks again man hope to see u soon 😀
